Summary: I've been staying at this hotel for around 15 years, whenever my work takes me to Frankfurt (about once a year). Used to be my favorite in terms of value, with a great breakfast. It declined during and after Covid unfortunately. They are now doing renovations to hopefully bring it back to the level it was at before. When I stayed there this time, even the breakfast room was under renovation, so breakfast was in the bar -- and very frustrating as selection was poor and they only seemed to put a tiny bit of food out at a time (so within 5 minutes of them putting eggs or cheese out, it was gone and you had to wait again in order to get some). Hoping to see this place like it once was, soon.
