Travel Purpose: business

Positive: I am a new traveler having only been outside of the USA twice. I had two separate stays in this hotel. One 10 day at new building and another 7 day stay at the Klassic. Both rooms were very nice and cozy with plenty of space and comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly aside from one minor interaction and nearly everyone spoke English. Since I only know enough German to say Hello, Do you speak English, Please and Thank you, having an English speaking staff made me very comfortable. The fitness center has plenty of equipment and allowed me to have a thorough workout. The dinner at Restaurant Frankenwald was delicious, albeit on the pricey side and breakfast buffet was good too. I would definitely recommend staying at either Rebhan site.

Negative: The Klassic room could have a few more power outlets. There is one switch on both sides of the beds that operate one light and I think an outlet would be more useful. The room in the new building had plenty of outlets, including by the bed. The pillows in the Klassic were very flat but stacking two worked OK. Pillows in the new building were perfect. I had one minor interaction with staff that I felt like was a bit rude, but wasn’t terrible. Breakfast is by reservation only, but this isn’t clear in the brochure or website. One staff member, after asking what my room number was, just said “NO” and walked away. Another staff member gathered that I did not understand the situation and told me to enjoy my breakfast with smile. She let me know I should have told I wanted breakfast the day before. A simple “Did you have a reservation” or something similar from the other staff member would have been a better way to handle this. I cleared up the misunderstanding with reception afterwards and all is well.

Summary: Great hotel with friendly staff. I would stay at either building again.
