Summary: This beautiful log cabin is perched in the hills where the deck catches the mountain breezes. Bring binoculars for birdwatching! We lived on that deck! The air conditioning is once for sleeping, and the kitchen is small but functional. The drive up to the cabin from the main house is very steep, but we made it up without 4 wheel drive since I am used to driving up hills in snow and ice! If you are not, rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Or take the bus (4) or taxi 14) from Quepos. Sheyla is an amazing host and made sure we were comfortable, including bringing up another pot for the kitchen (I cook a lot when we travel). Plus, she knows several guides in the area if you are interested in tours. We will definitely stay here again!
