Positive: After several months of traveling through Indonesia, arriving at Waiara Village Guesthouse initially felt like a dream come true. The property is truly beautiful — it has a wonderful garden, the villa is tastefully designed, clean, bright, spacious, and comfortably furnished. The bed was excellent, and the overall atmosphere was positive. Under normal circumstances, we would have really enjoyed our stay.

Negative: Unfortunately, it was impossible to sleep here. For several nights in a row, there was extremely loud music, shouting, and karaoke coming from right next to the property — lasting all night until around 7:30 in the morning (no exaggeration!) without a single break. Even my high-quality silicone earplugs couldn’t help; we were absolutely exhausted and sleep-deprived. I reported this issue multiple times to the host, who only replied that they didn’t know what was happening next door, offered no solution, and simply kept apologizing. I don’t believe a place like this can truly be called suitable for rest. In fact, we decided not to stay for the final night — instead, we booked a hotel room elsewhere just to get some sleep. I honestly feel sorry for the hosts — it’s clear they care about their villa and have put effort into maintaining it. But unfortunately, the surrounding environment (100% local neighborhood, noise, chaos, and poor cleanliness) makes it very difficult to recommend this place to travelers seeking peace and rest.
