The 300-year-old farmhouse, built of clay, is located on a picturesque little hill in the small town of Zalalövö. A large, fully fenced-in garden surrounds the house. The terrace offers a beautiful view of the Zala Valley.
The entrance gate can be operated by remote control. A small playground is located right next to the house. The main road is within sight, but not so close that the noise would be a disturbance. In the main house, you can reach all the rooms via a picturesque hallway. The middle room is the kitchen, which features an old bread oven. To the right and left are two large rooms for living and sleeping, each with an adjacent bathroom. In the right-hand room, next to the bathroom, there is also a small children’s room with a bunk bed. All rooms in the main house feature beautiful old wooden ceilings. The apartment has its own entrance, a bathroom, and a kitchenette. It’s ideal for multi-generational vacations.
Zalalövö has everything you need for daily life. Supermarkets, bakeries, butchers, restaurants, etc., are all available. You can also visit a hair salon, get a manicure, pedicure, or massage. Everything is just a few minutes away by car, but you can also get there on foot or by bike. The town also has a swimming lake where anglers, swimmers, and dogs are welcome. The lake features a fenced-off area—one for dogs and another for general swimming. The lake features several small restaurants, a playground, a fitness area, and a barbecue area. In 15 minutes, you can reach the heart of the Örségi National Park, which borders directly on the Austrian “Raab” Tri-Border Nature Park and the Slovenian “Goricko” Nature Park. There are many opportunities to explore nature here. There are hiking and biking trails, as well as many restaurants and pubs where you can stop for a bite to eat. The national park and the capital of Zala County are also easily accessible by train. The train station is just a 3-minute walk away. Furthermore, there’s a very scenic bike path leading from the station to the county seat, Zalaegerszeg. This bike path was built along the old railroad tracks and winds through beautiful countryside, passing by train stations along the way. In just over an hour, you can also visit the castle in Sümeg, where knight tournaments are held regularly. Sümeg Castle is the best-preserved castle in Hungary, and, in the opinion of many people, the most beautiful. From the castle, you have a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape of the Bakony Mountains. You can also reach the town of Keszthely on Lake Balaton in just over an hour. Keszthely has a beautiful downtown area, a large castle with exhibitions, and a natural history museum. Keszthely and Lake Balaton are definitely worth a visit.
