Troadkastn—what is it, or what used to be it? Translated, it means “granary.” And that was more than 200 years ago.
We took a chance and transformed this Troadkastn into a vacation cottage featuring a tiled stove and an infrared sauna. With great attention to detail, we’ve strived to preserve its rustic character while incorporating modern amenities. Come see for yourself and get a feel for it.
Rustic—cozy—homey—romantic—simply feel at home!
The first floor features the main entrance with a very spacious foyer. From there, you can access the two bedrooms; one features a double bed with a sitting area and satellite TV, while the other has two bunk beds (sleeps 4). In front of this room is a bathroom with a toilet. From the entryway, you can also access the staircase, which leads on one side to one of the two wind-protected sun terraces and on the other side down to the living room, sitting area, restroom, shower, infrared sauna, and the second terrace (sun loungers and seating). The living room features a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, NESPRESSO coffee machine, etc.) and a cozy dining area where you can watch the fire in the tiled stove. Right next to the Stube, separated by an archway and the tiled stove, is the living room with a spacious sofa set, satellite TV, DVD player, radio, books, and various board games. Before entering the living room, you can also access the restroom, shower, and infrared sauna. Right after working up a sweat, you can step outside onto the terrace. The terrace features sun loungers, outdoor furniture, and a grill. You can park your car right next to the house.
