Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The room and the bed were bigger than in a chain hotel. Breakfast was very pleasant with a good choice of food (when available) and the staff were present 24h/24 to help or advise. The hotel itself is beautiful and very typical of the region. There is a nice lounge where we could meet up after breakfast or in the evening, if we wanted. It is situated in the north of Auxerre, about 7 minutes walk from the main monuments.

Negative: Breakfast was very good, but in order not to waste food, very small quantities are supplied each time, so you have to wait sometimes for a new batch of eggs or ham etc To really improve the level of service, I think that coffee- and tea-making facilities in the room would be a plus, especially for international visitors.
