Positive: Rancho Margot was exactly what I was looking for. It’s a beautiful, working farm with gorgeous grounds that make you feel immediately grounded and at peace. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and clearly coming straight from the land around you. The staff truly made the experience special: kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming without feeling overbearing. The yoga was excellent and thoughtfully integrated into the daily rhythm of the farm. There are also plenty of offered activities, all of which were fun and well run—cheese making, chocolate making, kayaking, and horseback riding added a hands-on, memorable element to the stay and really complemented the overall experience. It’s important to note that this is not a luxury retreat—and that’s precisely what makes it special. This is a real, self-sustaining working farm with excellent accommodations that are comfortable, clean, and well cared for, without trying to be something it’s not. The authenticity is the luxury. If you’re looking for a meaningful, nature-immersive experience with great food, great people, and a strong sense of purpose, I can’t recommend Rancho Margot highly enough.
