Once upon a time, there was a farm with six dairy cows.
That’s how the story of the “Brandhof” began. Now in its fourth generation of family ownership, the Brandhof and the Brandalm have become a true gem for those seeking peace and quiet and for nature lovers. The long-standing family connection to nature, the forest, and agriculture is evident in the heart of our property—the Brandhof main house, the Brandhof Landhaus (renovated in 2020), and the Brandalm. Plenty of wood, loden, and coordinating woolen materials in natural colors enhance the “feel-good” atmosphere in our apartments, which offer views of our magnificent mountain panorama.
A vacation on the Dachstein—here, we want guests to experience their vacation with all their senses and take time for self-reflection to recharge for everyday life afterward. We’ve made it our goal to turn your vacation at the Brandhof into something special—and certainly a unique experience for young and old alike.

In winter, the Brandhof stands out from the rest thanks to its prime location in the Ramsau am Dachstein family ski area. With a ski school and practice lift right next to our hotel, children of all ages can learn to ski in a fun and playful way. For experienced skiers, the Rittisberg—just 300 meters away—and the “Amade” ski area (a 20-minute drive) are excellent options.
Ramsau has long been known as Austria’s cross-country skiing mecca and offers nearly 220 km of trails, which are also connected to our hotel.
