Positive: CASH is required. Almost had to change hotels at 8 pm because I did not think I had enough cash. Website did not, but should have said that. Said no prepayment required, which makes me think credit card is OK. Office man said he did not have any change. Staff acted as if he did not speak English., which might be tree as it is a Spanish country. In bigger towns, most of those who deal with the public, speak English too. But Uvita is small town. Free breakfast not ready until 630 am, which is early, but not early enough for me when I stayed there so I could get a 7 am tour. GREAT location very near, 2-10 minutes from any tour start site. It says BUDGET room and it is. Cheap, but the opposite of a resort, but better than a hostel. Has all the basics, but that is it. No wash cloths or hand towels, just 2 shower towels. VERY noisy with traffic and dog barking all night. VERY Clean and safe. Ate there after my tour. Very good. Need to make their toilet flush better. Takes 3 flushes. AC worked well, although not know it as barely feel fan. Small tv worked. Has an unplugged refrigerator, so not know how long it takes to cool down to where you could use it. When unplugged, they leave the door open, which blocks the tv.
