Surrounding the church—located at the highest point of the historic village on a mound and home to one of the oldest playable organs in the world—are the former farmhands’ and craftsmen’s houses, as well as large farmsteads, arranged in a circular pattern, creating the distinctive charm of this circular village.
On the outer ring of the village stands the Gulfhof, believed to have been built by Ufko Andreesen van Senden around 1890.
