Positive: The location of the finca is great if you’re wanting to avoid touristy areas. It was easy to explore the island from here. Our room was very big, and pretty nice overall with its own bathroom and fridge for keeping food. There was also a full shared kitchen and the pool was great for taking a morning swim. Our host was very friendly and made our check in and check out experience very smooth and pleasant. It was also very private which was great, even though there’s other guests, the size of the property gives you plenty of space and quiet. And there’s horses on the property! All in all it was a pleasant stay.

Negative: Our room was big and overall nice, but it could have been cleaner to be honest. There were cobwebs and a few things that needed maintaining. The beds were also not very comfortable, kind of rock hard and it would’ve been nice if the blanket was a proper king size duvet instead of two singles. For guests who are couples, this isn’t ideal. My husband and I were there for 4 nights, and it did seem that there wasn’t regular cleaning of the shared kitchen area and the trash not changed etc. Since there are other guests at the finca, the garbage in the kitchen got full quickly and it wasn’t clear to us or the other guests who was meant to take it out. Surely not the guests? The lights in the dining room weren’t all working, which we eventually figured out was due to the lightbulbs not being fully screwed in. Not a huge issue but felt that the host when checking us in could’ve explained to us any quirks of the property. We spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out how to not have dinner in the dark.

Summary: Mostly pleasant with a few minor things that could be improved.
