Positive: we had a warm welcome and all the interactions from the staff to phillip the owner were great and made us feel at home. warm, helpful and informative. i know where i'll stay when i return to padang.

Negative: we arrived in the monsoon with heavy rain so the walk up the hill was little precarious. we arrived without notice otherwise they would have brought umbrellas and helped us with our baggage. they provided umbrellas so we were sorted when we went out for dinner and they helped carry our bags down when we left.

Summary: evergreen lodge our refuge during monsoon.
