Positive: We were informed that the manager was unwell, and our calls went unanswered. No other arrangements were made, leaving us at a loss on arrival as to where to collect the key to the property.

Negative: On the first day, our family of nine adults and two children enjoyed the nearby river, cozy rooms and well-maintained amenities. However, we quickly learned that this villa takes its guest limit (eight adults and three children) more seriously than an airport security checkpoint. We met with the kind of enforcement (by the staff) that made us wonder if we were in a secret military base instead of a vacation home. Despite the rules being enforced with the intensity of a school hostel, we had a great time. We loved the pool, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the outdoor seating was ideal for long conversations (as long as you didn’t invite an unregistered aunt to join). Would we stay again? Maybe NOT.

Summary: It would be great if the staff could be polite about one extra adult (aged 15 years) in our group.
